Careers

We hire at entry level, and teach the trade ourselves.

Burtner Electric has been a family owned shop in Noblesville since 1986. Most of what we know about the trade, we teach in-house, to people who start here without it. If you want to learn electrical work on real jobs across Hamilton County, this is where you would start.

What the work is

Residential and light commercial, across Hamilton County.

New construction wiring, panel upgrades, lighting and repair calls in Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville and the towns around them. Some days it is a new-build panel bank like this one. Other days it is a service call at a house that has called us before.

How we train

On real jobs, under people who have done this since 1986.

Burtner Electric takes on entry-level trainees and teaches the trade in-house. There is no formal program to describe here, just a family owned shop that has been doing this in one town long enough to know how to hand it down. You would start as a trainee and learn on the jobs the shop already has: residential service calls, new construction rough-ins, and the light commercial work that comes through the office.
